SCAD

Well, I'm down here in GA! SCAD is amazing, as I would have hoped, however I just got an email from the lovely FAFSA people saying that since I already have a degree, two actually, that I no longer qualify for federal aid...that includes loans. SOO, now, after having moved my entire life to GA - mom, dogs, and all - I will not be able to go to school anymore because there is NO way I can pay for it.
In addition to that lovely piece of news I also cannot find a job. The most valid reason for that is because the the aforementioned degrees and my having only applied to retail jobs that monkeys could do. Obviously I do not consider myself overqualified for the job since I, being of a sound mind, APPLIED FOR THE JOB! The ones I would consider to be beneath me I have not yet applied for, but am now am thinking about (to the detriment of my sanity).
Lastly, my baby girl, Kassidy, is on her last leg. (NOT literally, for those of you who know that she's been licking at one of them for a few years now.) For the past week she's hardly been able to keep her food down, and she's been lethargic. We've had to make her go outside, and then down the stairs. She has a hard time getting and waking up. She's also listing her head to one side and bumping into things. We are at our wit's end trying to help her and figure out whats wrong. We've tried splitting her food up and giving her a little at a time throughout the day; yesterday it didn't work so well, but so far so good today! The last thing I need to think about with everything else that's going on is having to put my dog down for her own good...I can barely even type it, let alone say it aloud or do it.
If anyone is actually reading this, I'm sorry for assailing your eyes and mind with such whinnery, but please keep me in your thoughts. W(h)ine cannot be my sole source of comfort!

  1. hi there have u tried glucosamine chondroitin for your dog? sounds like pain which can be helped alot with this, along with a med from vet called rimadyl for arthritic pain. The gc i think helped the most. I got mine a healthy wafer treat with gc in it and made sure to walk him and get any excess weight off. if u need help say so, tc c :)

    1. Thanks for the advice. We don't think it's arthritis though. Because of how she's holding her head and looking dizzy and stuff we think maybe something wrong with her ear, or her equilibrium or something. But she does seem to hurt and not want us to touch her so maybe some glucosamine wouldn't hurt...but would she have to take if with food, because we can't really guarantee that she'll keep food down. :(

    2. My dog did the same thing somehow related to the pain this product helped tremendously: http://www.frrco.com/products/product-listing-template/?cat=c&mode=s&id=11 and since it is a wafer they get food too with it, hopefully she can keep that down. I am not sure how old Kassidy is: http://www.frrco.com/products/product-listing-template/?cat=c&mode=s&id=6 for older dogs.
My mothers dog did the same as in not letting you touch and did wonderful on this and loved the taste.
If you get Rimadyl or similar liquid med from vet(if diagnosed with pain i mean) then what i did was put the med on the a bit of the wafer.
This company is health minded is what i like and have seen the difference it can make.
I hope the links work(the main company is : www.frrco.com ~ Flint River Ranch) and no you don't have to sign up for it, just sign is as a guest or call and try it, they also have samples available possibly for small amount. The cost is kinda high compared to the filler cheaper foods but not for the tremendous health of our babies. I've seen the difference it has made numerous times. I hope this helps Kassidy and you. tc c

    3. Thanks! We were just looking at Glucosamine tablets at walmart...but a treat would be a lot better. We really just need to save up the money and take her to the vet and see what they say. Yesterday she kept all her food down, and today she's up a little more and so far has kept her food down. She's even barking outside as I type this! But she's still listing and bumping into things and tripping/falling, so we'll see what happens if she keeps all today's food down too...thanks again for you help!
